Regarding the content itself, The Witch Queen is the best expansion Destiny has received since Forsaken, arguably Taken King. Similar to Beyond Light, The Witch Queen is a tough expansion to rank. But if we also consider the state it was released in, the Beyond Light expansion paradoxically removed more content than it added. By today's standards, Beyond Light is a solid expansion that gives players a phenomenal subclass and raid to play with. Thankfully, gear sunsetting was reverted a season afterward, but the damage was already done. This was a major divider in Beyond Light's reception and still remains one of the most controversial decisions Bungie made since Destiny 2 vanilla. Content was also on the chopping block, some of which players paid for. In an effort to keep the sandbox from experiencing power creep, Bungie set Power caps on three years worth of Destiny weapons, reducing a player's arsenal from hundreds of guns to a few dozen. Unfortunately, this was a period where Destiny was going through some serious growing pains. Some aspects of the campaign were underwhelming, and the grind to unlock Stasis is nothing short of a slog, yet this DLC's content offerings and early signs of Subclass 3.0 were all loved by the community. Players learn how to wield Stasis itself to stop her-the first time in Destiny history that players got to wield the Darkness. Guardians got to explore the icy moon of Europa to hunt down Eramis, a Fallen Kell that planned to harness the power of Stasis to bring her people back into power. Simply put, Beyond Light is the definition of a mixed bag. On the other hand, Beyond Light removed three years of content from Destiny 2, introduced gear sunsetting, and released Stasis in such a state that Crucible was hilariously unbalanced for nearly a year. On one hand, it gave players a solid campaign, one of the best raids in franchise history, and an entirely new subclass element that is nothing short of incredible. Exploring the Moon once again and working with Eris were certainly high points, yet Shadowkeep's lack of content really stung considering the season that accompanied it, Season of Undying, was mediocre at best.īeyond Light is a tricky expansion to rank. Sandbox changes also made huge strides to nerf the effectiveness of Primaries and buff stacking, leading to a much slower PvE experience that would slowly be reverted with Beyond Light and its subsequent seasons. The Pit of Heresy dungeon was fantastic, but the Garden of Salvation is one of Destiny 2's buggiest raids and has a mixed reception from fans. Tons of busywork padded out the campaign's runtime, only for players to find that Shadowkeep's post-campaign content was minimal. The campaign for this expansion started to explore the Darkness-the Traveler's ancient foe-but they were effectively used as window-dressing for what many consider to be Destiny 2's worst campaign from an expansion. Shadowkeep did not make a good first impression. Many fans were excited to see what Destiny would look like with Bungie fully at the helm. Rocket Launcher is rather weak but the lock on helps deal with the summoners and revenants before you get the guass gun.Destiny 2: Shadowkeep was the first DLC Bungie released since they departed from Activision. everything below hell knights can be onshotted. The super shotgun fully maxed is just an absolute monster, hellknights dead in 2 pointblank shots or brought down to gory kill level with 3 from medium range. basically is almost as powerful as the BFG and Chainsaw. The guass gun with the seigemode fully upgraded two shots a Baron of Hell if hit in the head along with the Cyber Mancubus.everything else is oneshotted. My favorite weapons are the guass gun( both upgrades are super strong) the combat shotty and super shotty and the plasma rifle with the heatblast upgrade. Yeah i always feel like i failed/wasted and enemy if i dont gory kill it.even when im maxed on hp and armour. I swear I've executed almost every single enemy in the game so far. I personally like the plasma rifle and the heavy assault rifle (those are the strongest guns I have so far) Sometimes I get lazy and just run up to the enemy and punch him in the face 4-5 times in a row until I can insta execute him. Even the starter pistol can kill strong enemies if you charge it up. Originally posted by brownie689:I use whatever I feel like at that moment in time.
